A neat little piece of history; took it to Collector's Firearms down at Westheimer to get it checked out and it's built of both repro and original parts from the actual British 1853 Enfield. it has been turned into a hunting rifle (hence the sight), I believe the receiver is a repro but that's about it. If you have doubts we can meet at Collector's Firearms to get it looked at again. I haven't shot it so I don't know if it's shootable. Send me your best CASH offer, I say again, CASH ONLY, F2F, no FFL or LTC required since it's a relic, and I will only drive an hour max from Cypress. Some dents and marks on the wooden stock, about a pinkie sized mark on the bottom wood stock right in front of the brass stock plate, but it's hardly noticeable from the sides. Brass plate has a little crack at the bottom but the plate is still holding on good, the third band (sling band, nearest to the barrel), is loose but still holds on pretty good when handling the rifle, just don't sling your musket barrel up or it'll come off. The gun has definitely aged but that's what gives it its old vintage charm.
