Russian Mosin Nagant made at the Tula factory, which is determined by the Star & Arrow stamping on the receiver. The Russian Model 91/30 Mosin Nagant rifle is a bolt-action rifle that was developed by Russian firearms designers Sergei Mosin and Léon Nagant in the late 19th century. The 91/30 model was introduced in 1930 and served as the standard infantry rifle for the Soviet Union during World War II and beyond. The Mosin Nagant rifle features a 5-round internal magazine and fires the 7.62x54R cartridge. The rifle has a long service life and is known for its durability and reliability. It was widely used by the Soviet Union and its allies during World War II and saw action in numerous conflicts throughout the 20th century.
This Mosin has been turned into a sniper rifle with its 29” barrel with the very desirable Hex receiver, which is stamped 1931 as year of manufacture. The receiver and bolt have matching numbers.
It has a Crossfire II 6- 24x50 Scope with a mildot reticle, mounted on a ROCK SOLID INDUSTRIES SCOPE MOUNT. This aluminum, hard coated, mount supports the rear of the scope to eliminate movement for improved accuracy, unlike other mounts on the market.
