This is a Springfield Armory M1a built with all National Match (NM) USGI parts, by an Army AMU armorer. The SAI receiver is a 5-line, made in 1980. The NM barrel is made by SAK, with a TE (throat erosion) of zero. The bolt is TRW, the firing mechanism and op-rod are SA. The gas system is "screwed and glued", the piston is grooved, and the op-rod spring guide is NM. The USGI stock is glass-bedded to this rifle. The front and rear sights are also NM. This rifle was retired in 1982, except for a couple of venison harvesting trips. Comes with a USGI sling, 2 mags and a cleaning kit. $3200 This rifle "legged" a couple of times; and is capable of .5" MOA with handloads.
