Is this rifle really an original WWII sniper rifle? I don't know. I doubt it but I am not an expert on these things. My guess is it is a nice old 03-A3 that some one was trying to make it look like a sniper version. But it is a nice rifle. It is drilled and tapped on the receiver and the front sights have been removed or the barrel has been cut back to remove them. The bore is nice and shiny. I think this rifle would be great for re-enactments or to turn into a sporter as it looks to already be modified, Heck, just put a scope on it and have the coolest rifle in deer camp!
Update: This rifle is dated to WWII, Sept 1943. Remington manufacture. The gun appears to have been re-arsenaled. It is not perfect.....if it was, it would be $1000 in price, not $375. Please don't waste my time like the last dipsh*t I met trying to find a unissued gun he can buy for $300. If you want to window shop, go to the mall. If you want a great piece of history you can actually shoot without ruining the value, then let's talk about this gun.
