This is an 1891 Argentine Mauser. This is a beautiful old Mauser with NO import marks. This was the first commercially successful rifle of Paul Mauser's designed immediately after the invention of smokeless powder. The stock is very nice and has a tiger stripe pattern in the butt stock. The bore is bright and crisp with excellent rifling. It was manufactured by Ludwig Lowe in Berlin for the Argentine military contract. When Argentina upgraded their military rifles years later, many of these were given as military aid to several other South American countries and saw service in multiple conflicts. $700 or best reasonable offer.
