The Ruger Coyote Special is a .380-caliber pistol that was released in 2010 to commemorate Texas Governor Rick Perry's use of a similar gun to shoot a coyote that was threatening his daughter's dog:

Inspiration
The incident occurred in April 2010 when Perry shot the coyote while jogging with his daughter near Austin. Perry said he left the dead coyote where it fell, and neither he, his daughter, nor his dog were injured.

Features
The Coyote Special is emblazoned with "Coyote Special" and "A True Texan" on the sides, and has a picture of a coyote howling at the moon and a lone star on top. The box says, "For Sale to Texans Only".
