Smith & Wesson Model 30-1 Double Action 6 Shot Revolver serial #7595XX, .32 S&W Long, 2” pinned barrel with an excellent bore. This lovely revolver remains in excellent condition and has seen little use since it left the factory. The metal surfaces retain about 99.9% original blue finish showing a few very fine scratches. The service trigger and hammer retain bold case-hardened colors with light operational wear. The checkered factory walnut grips with silver S&W medallions rate excellent and are numbered to the gun. This revolver features a grooved ramp front sight, fixed rear sight, functions mechanically with correct timing and lock up. This is a fine example for the collector and could make an alternative self-defense gun for the recoil shy. I've too many guns.
I've contacted Smith & Wesson for fair pricing and information. They tell me the serial number dates it leaving the factory 1961-1970. I believe it's a '69-'70. The same pistol in only 'good condition' with rust on the trigger and around the muzzle sold for $1,250 on another site.
It has been cared for by an expert marksman and competition shooter in my family for over 40 years but sat in a drawer for self defense. It's in better condition than any I've seen.
