That is a shotgun made by a major maker (and before 1940) for and sold by a wholesaler or retailer who chose the name to go on the gun. Shotguns with the name WESTERN ARMS CO were made by either the Crescent Fire Arms Co of Norwich, CT (1892 to 1931) or the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co of Chicopee Falls.MA (1864 to 1980). NOTE: This shotgun is in poor condition. Unless you are a good gunsmith I recommend you don't fire it unless it has been inspected by a professional. It may have some value as an antique but mostly it's a Wall Hanger. There is a repair on the stock as pictured. Barrel latch needs tightening. It's dirty in the bore. 34" Barrel.
