1982 Colt Combat Government 1911a1 Series 70

Rare first year model that Colt came out with as sort of their first factory modified model. The upgrades they made were what a lot of people were having gunsmiths do to their existing 1911s at the time. The factory upgrades consist of a lowered/flared ejection port, high profile combat sights, front grip serrations, a wrap around rubber grip and flat mainspring housing as well as a roll mark more reminiscent of the earlier "pre series" colt commercial models as opposed to the soon to be phased out series 70 billboard roll marks. I bought this in it's stock form in the original box and sent it to Ten Ring Precision in San Antonio where the following additional upgrades were made.

- Harrison Design ignition set, round hammer, sear and disconnector installed.
- Harrison Design Extreme Service long/smooth trigger installed
- Harrison Deisgn Hammer strut installed
- Colt "rat tail" grip safety installed
- Kart National Match barrel and bushing installed
- 3.5# Trigger pull adjusted
- Ejector replaced and tuned

I have put about 300 rounds of mixed ammunition through it since the upgrades were made and it has functioned flawlessly. All of the modifications done are reversible and all of the original parts that came with the gun when I bought it are included. Also included are the High Figure American Holly grips with Colt factory medallions which I purchased for $190. I will include the receipts of the parts I purchased along with the receipt from Ten Ring Precision as well. The additional parts and install cost well over $1,000 alone.
