The Winchester Model 1903 was the first commercially made semi-automatic firearm made - by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. designed by T.C. Johnson, who had joined Winchester in 1885 and had become nationally known as an inventor of successful rifles. In 1919, the Model 1903 moniker was shortened to Model 03, and following a partial redesign in the 1930s, was renamed the Model 63. This for sale is in good condition with 90% plus original blueing with light spots of rust on the barrel and receiver, bore is very good. Very good walnut stocks with original finish and very light handling scratches, and a small chip on the comb top of steel buttplate (picture 14). Gun has seen only very light use over 120 years.
