British SMLE No.1 Mk III .303 British Rifle: Made in GR B.S.A.C2 in 1918 the last year of WWI. B.S.A is Birmingham Small Arms made under the reign of King George V. It has Sht LE below that which means Short Lee Enfield, which means Short Magazine Lee Enfield which the SMLE came from. The Crown on it is the Royal Cyper and means it was a Military issued rifle. The rifle is chambered in .303 British and shots nicely. Action is smooth and rifling is good. Stock is in good condition. If you saw the recent WWI movie, "1917", this was the type of rifle the British soldiers use throughout the movie. This rifle is a great piece of WWI history and possibly even used again in WWII.
