Izhevsk Arsenal made, all matching numbers from magazine, bolt and barrel. This one is 1946 dated which means the factory had time to build this one well and nicely finish off the metal work and blueing. War era rifles tend to exhibit very rough machining and refinishing. This one is all numbers matching, has nice clear markings and cartouches on the stock. Foldout bayonet in great shape and works flawlessly.
Sling it came with was not original to rifle and was worn so thrown away. Does include original dual leather ammo pouch. Beautiful original laminate stock and 25 rounds of 7.62X54R. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Tried to take a picture of it but could not get a good one. It is a VERY clean bore, smooth. Gone are the days of buying crates of these guys, much less an M44 Carbine that is this nice of an example.
