This is a Remington US Model 1917 issued to the American Expeditionary Force at the outbreak of World War I. The rifle is in fantastic condition with a brilliant bore with sharp rifling, gorgeous wood, and the usual dings and bumps you’d expect over the course of 100+ years of use.

This particular weapon comes with a matching Remington M1905 bayonet, which has been fetching upwards of $500 alone on Gunbroker recently. This is the same bayonet that fits on the M1917 trench gun, and a few other weapons.

The sling is a brand new, unissued leather sling that was the standard for this rifle when it was first issued to the US military.
