Suppressor/Silencer Alignment Rods
SOLD AS A SET OF FOUR RODS. ONE SET TO SELL.
18” McMaster-Carr Tight Tolerance bore rods help ensure proper concentricity along the bullet flight path when firing suppressed on a new platform. The rods closely represent the bullet flight path and will show any misalignment. It is recommended shooters verify barrel-to-adapter-to-suppressor alignment on any new build or any previously unshot configuration.
Four rods in the set – All are 18” long:
1. 5.56 mm / .223 Caliber = .212” Diameter
2. 6 mm / .243 Caliber = .2343” Diameter
3. 6.5 mm Caliber = .25” Diameter
4. 7.62 mm / .30 Caliber = .297” Diameter
Custom PVC case included to protect the rods.
How to use a Suppressor/Silencer / Bore Alignment Rod:
1. *** VERIFY YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED!! ***
2. Properly mount your suppressor to the firearm.
3. Insert rod through the mounted suppressor of an unloaded weapon. Equal space should be seen between bore of suppressor and centered rod.
4. Never force rod into bore, it should slide freely with very little resistance.
5. If mount and silencer are in alignment, *REMOVE* rod and enjoy your suppressed firearm!
This is a validation tool. Loose / improperly mounted suppressors are dangerous and these rods will not fix that problem. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Rods are true when sold. I use a set – basically the rods were 36” long and have been cut in two, and the ends ground to round the edges.
