Up for sale today is this fantastic example of an unaltered and matching Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered of course for the famous .30-06 Springfield cartridge, and it even comes with its original sling and cleaning kit stored under the buttplate! This rifle has a manufacture date of 1942 and does not appear that it was rebuilt, and is in exceptional overall condition for its age. The bore of the rifle shines and shows easily visible and defined lands and grooves. The action is clean and functions smoothly and locks up tight when closed and when the bolt is locked open. The bluing on the receiver has a great patina and has only light finish loss on corners and edges. The barrel has some finish wear and handling marks as well as the stock but overall are in great condition.
