THE GUN IS AVAILABLE.
This is for a special ordered professionally customized Smith & Wesson Shield in 9mm. This has $300 in upgraded parts alone not counting labor. This has just about 300 rounds through it.
This includes an excellent 4lb trigger, an upgraded flat recoil spring, a genuine tritium "Big Dot" brand front sight, a high end Viridian low profile light w/strobe option and a magnetic on/off switch. The polymer behind the trigger guard was reduced for a higher grip. This also has a Techna pocket clip installed, an 8rd mag and a custom 9rd mag, a manual thumb safety, a magazine safety and a loaded chamber indicator. The original stock parts are also included as well as the original box and zippered case.
This was special ordered to get a thumb safety and a loaded chamber indicator and a magazine safety all on the same gun. The manual/thumb safety is less common, the loaded chamber indicator and the mag safety are the least common features, and the combination of all of them is the hardest version to find. It's 'popular' now for people to carry guns with no safeties on them. I think that's a big mistake.
Viridian's unique magnetic switch automatically turns the light on/off when the gun is drawn/holstered. You can also set it to manual. For the automatic on/off feature you need either a tiny magnet in your pocket or a magnet embedded on your holster. Viridian has their own holsters but they can be bulky. You just need a simple magnet.
The greatness of a magazine safety is it prevents the gun from firing if the mag isn't seated. Many cops have sworn by their magazine safety saving their life. When fighting for the gun you can opt to hit the mag release and resort to other measures, like a full force headbutt, while the bad guy realizes too late that the gun doesn't work. Remember the old saying that if someone is in arms reach it's not "your" gun, it's "our" gun. They can reach it too so always have a plan.
