This is a 6.5LRP (wildcat) chambering in a Bartlein #9 contour heavy barrel (stainless). It’s on a blueprinted Remington 700 action with a heavy recoil lug. Fitted with Timney tactical trigger with adjustable length of pull. Incredibly crisp and probably way too light for most shooters. Sitting in McRees R7ST g5+ stock with adjustable MDT grip. Barrel was cut for a suppressor ready threaded muzzle brake. Zeroed SWFA 3-15x42 with sun shade.
See last photo for the fire forming load ready to fire, then the spent case, and the projectile. You can see it starts as the .260 rem case neck angle and then expands to like a 6.5 creedmoor or PRC type angle. It’s effectively a longer 6.5 Creedmoor case when it’s done, so a hotter flatter higher horsepower creedmoor.
**cool as heck alert** - this comes with brand new reloading (seating and resizing) dies. Die was cut with the same tool that cut the chamber. You cannot get any more accurate than that. Mitutoyo seating die fully adjustable.
Comes with 90 once fired (fire formed) virgin cases sourced from Copper Creek ammunition. 13 fire forming Remington 260 loads ready to go as well. Including a brand new box of Berger 140gr VLD (500ct) which this gun shoots tightest with.
The fire forming rounds are sub MOA even, this thing is incredible. My fire forming is done pinging a 10” plate at 500 prone from a knoll.
Less than 100 rounds fired (every round fired comes with the gun for reloading)
It’s heavy as hell and I just hunt, so with no varmint opportunity for me right now this gun doesn’t have an application for me right now. Needs to go to a shooter at a 1000y+ gun club or farmer with a varmint problem and a nice back porch.
Have $5k+ invested. Will sell for $3k and very open to interesting trades including multiple gun deals or non firearm items within reason.
