Ready for Africa or Alaska (or even hog hunting!), this rifle will handle whatever large and dangerous game you are pursuing. This is the last of my dangerous game rifles that I have been parting with over the last decade, and this one has never been used in the field. Used only for ballistics work and some 200-yard steel gong targeting work, this rifle is in practically unused condition with only minor indications that it has ever been shot (less than 300 rounds through it), and the finish is near perfect.
This rifle is semi-custom in that it was barreled, stocked, scoped and accurized by Hill Country Rifles in New Braunfels, Texas. The only thing stock on this rifle is the M77 Hawkeye action/bolt which has been tuned and smoothed, with the trigger breaking super-cleanly at about 3lbs. Here are the details:
McMillan Stock - Fiberglass - Light tan, dark speckled
Benchmark Barrel - SS, 416 Ruger, 1:14 twist, #5 22"
Squaring and truing of M77 action
NECG Sights - Barrel Band Front, Express Rear, Regulated for 50 yard POI
Talley Barrel Band fitted and installed
Barrel/Receiver Cerakote - flat black
Alaska Arms QD Rings installed
Meopta Meostar R1 Scope - 1.5 - 6 X 42 RD (RD - reticle can be illuminated in red if desired)
Redfield hard case
Original receipt and testing information available. This rifle has <300 rounds downrange and performs very smoothly and reliably. I also have handloading equipment and components for this rifle which we can discuss separately if they are desired. For the record, as a hobbyist, I have more than $4000 in this project, not counting handloading equipment, so you are getting quite a nice rifle for well below what it would cost to build one now. This is your chance to acquire a beautiful semicustom, ready-for-the-field, dangerous game rifle for well below the price of today's custom rifles of this quality.
