This beautiful Colt 1911 (.45 acp) was shipped from the Colt plant to the U. S. Army at Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont on May 25,1917 t It was bright nickel plated, and engraved by Texas Master Engraver David Wade Harris in the Texas Ranger (barbecue gun) style. It is enhanced by the Ivory grip panels inset with sterling silver Texas Ranger badge emblem. Display box included. Also included is a box of period .45 acp ammunition.
