For sale is a USGI WWII Era Inland M1 Carbine .30 Carbine made in August of 1943! The M1 Carbine was famously designed and perfected by “Carbine" Williams for Winchester. The rifle was designed to fill the gap between the 1911 pistol and the full size (and weight haha) M1 Garand. The M1 Carbine utilizes a very reliable short stroke piston design. It served with distinction in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and with our allies, beyond. They are very popular amongst collectors due to their history, and shooters due to their handy size and weight, mild recoil, rugged design, and high reliability. Like most M1 Carbines, this rifle was reworked post WWII for reconditioning and upgrading of parts. The upgrades included the addition of the bayonet lug, the fully adjustable rear sight, the flip lever style safety, and the magazine release that had the extra arm to more securely retain the 30rd magazines. The stock is a Springfield Armory produced arsenal replacement. The barrel and barrel are Inland, the rest of the parts will be the typical mix of GI parts. Please take a look at all of the detailed pictures as they are the best representation of the cosmetic condition of the gun. The finish on the metal is excellent with very little actual finish loss or wear, just the typical wear for a gun of this service and age. The stock is excellent as well with only minor handling marks and dings here and there. The gun is in above average condition for a surplus rifle. The gun is also not import marked. Mechanically, the gun is sound and everything functions as it should. The bore is bright and the rifling is strong, The ME gauges at about 1.5, definitely shy of 2. The sling looks like a Vietnam era sling. The gun comes complete with one 15rd and one 30rd magazine, both of which are current commercial production and are pretty much in like new condition. They are a nice snug fit in the gun. All in all, if you are looking for a really nice example of the M1 Carbine with the perfect mix of history and shootability, this is the gun for you.
