Upper is an M4 style 16" barrel with front sight block and polymer handguards. (Yes, I know the true M4 clones have 14.5" barrels but NFA and all that) I've achieved around 2-2.5 MOA using range ammo with it at 100 yards, so the barrel is pretty good even though it's not free-floating.
BCG is a Palmetto State Armory premium made from milspec 158 carpenter steel with nickel boron coating. ($129 on their website)
BCM Gunfighter charging handle ($55 or so on their website)
Aero precision lower with Aero Precision lower parts kit, buffer tube, buffer spring,etc.

Why am I listing the retail prices of these parts? To illustrate that this is an upgraded rifle that is more enjoyable to shoot than an off the shelf M4-style rifle in a similar price range. This rifle is fairly light due to the shorter polymer handguards. Since most of the weight is pushed back towards the shoulder, this rifle is very maneuverable and easy to hold steady when shooting from unsupported positions.
If you've mostly shot gritty milspec triggers with 8 pound pulls, you're going to fall in love with the CMC single stage trigger. There's no take up or mush, just a firm wall and glass-rod break and crisp reset.
I bought this rifle in 2013 and I'm not sure who the manufacturer of the upper is, full disclosure. It has spent the years since in my gun safe, and I've fired around 600-800 rounds through it.
