Description
Mosin Nagant M38 is dated 1942 and is made at the Izhevsk arsenal in Russia. 7.62x54r caliber. Being that it was made during WW2, it has the rougher metal finish than pre or post-WW2 rifles. This one is not counter-bored (many M38s are) and has a laminated wood M44 stock plus all of the accessories shown in the picture. The serial numbers are electro-penciled to matching at the arsenal (stamped on the receiver, electro-penciled to match every where else). Good bore and no pitting. $440 cash.

Used "Darrell’s Scout Mount" that fits in the rear sight base to mount a long eye relief scope on the M44 or M38. This mount does not require any alteration of the rifle, so it can easily be returned to original configuration. It uses 6 brass set screws to stabilize the rail onto the rear sight for a solid mount that does not loose zero like some other rear sight mounted rails do. This mount is no longer being made and is highly regarded (search the web for reviews). I’ll sell this for $60.

NCStar 2-7x32 Pistol / Long Eye Relief scope suitable for the scout mount and rifle listed above. Excellent condition. $30.

Sale of the rifle will occur at a gun shop in South Austin by FFL transfer. The cost of the transfer is already built into the price, so the price listed is the total price you pay. Not interested in trades.
